Mangachain Mint Announcement
As we gear up for the mint, it's time to break down some key details about our smart contract and what you can expect when the big day arrives.
# 1. Security
The smart contract will be deployed on the Layer 1, Ethereum chain and won't be upgradable so, once it's live, no one: not even us, can make changes to it. This ensures complete security and transparency, giving you peace of mind that what you see is what you get, with no surprises down the road.
For example:
- The team doesn't have special permissions in the smart contract, except changing the NFTs visuals and, of course, managing the treasury.
- The smart contract will be open source on Etherscan, so anyone can verify the source code of the smart contract and figure out what's happening inside.
# 2. Audit
Moreover, we've made sure our smart contract is rock solid. We partnered with QuillAudits, a trusted and independent auditing firm, to go over every detail and make sure everything is secure and ready for launch. QuillAudits has already secured more than 1,000 projects in 6 years. Their stamp of approval gives us confidence that everything is in place for a smooth minting process.

# 3. Optimisations Fee and Gas
We know gas fees can be a pain, so we've worked hard to optimize the fees on our smart contract. Our goal is to make sure you're not overspending on fees when minting your Mangachain NFT. Efficiency and cost-effectiveness are at the core of this contract, and we're excited to offer a smooth experience.
This is why we use the ERC721A standard, an optimization of the ERC721 standard that significantly reduces gas fees during minting operations. This standard has been widely adopted by leading NFT projects, including Azuki (who originally developed it). Additionally, our partners at QuillAudits will help optimize all smart contract functions to ensure maximum efficiency and security.
# 4. Mint Date and Supply
Now, the info you've been waiting for: the mint date is set for December 5, with a total supply of 333 GENESIS NFTs, and will be divided into three distinct phases.
Phase 1/3 - The Team Members' Private Mint
During this phase, team members will mint the 13 NFTs reserved for them.
Phase 2/3 - The Community's Private Mint
Whitelist holders will have early access to the mint, with a sweet bonus: a preferential price compared to the public mint! Here are the two types of Whitelists (WL) that can be acquired:
- Gold WL - Awarded to the most engaged members of the Discord server
- Silver WL - Offered to members during raffles and user-generated content (UGC)
This phase will last for a total of 12 hours before giving way to the final phase: the public mint.
Note: During this phase, those who don't use their Whitelist to mint won't be able to use their preferential price during the public mint phase.
Phase 3/3 - The Public Mint
As the 12-hour waiting period for Phase 2 concludes, we're entering the final stage: the public mint! In this phase, anyone with a crypto wallet and enough Ethereum can mint their own GENESIS NFT, while supplies last. This phase will last 24 hours but can also end if all NFTs have been minted. Keep in mind, if all NFTs from phases 1 and 2 are claimed, only 40 out of the initial 333 will be available during the public mint.
